Ready for peak days

For e-commerce teams preparing for campaigns, seasonal peaks, and sales events

Will your store withstand the next traffic peak?

Black Friday, a TV campaign, or a product launch is not the right time to discover the weakest point in your system. I assess in advance what happens under load and whether your team can act quickly when it matters.

Does this sound familiar?

More visitors do not automatically mean more revenue

A peak does not only put servers under pressure. Databases, external services, deployments, and unclear responsibilities all affect whether customers can complete their purchases.

RISK 01

Bottlenecks are unknown

Without realistic load assumptions, it remains unclear which component will slow down or become unstable first.

RISK 02

Scaling responds too late

Automation sounds reassuring, but it cannot help when databases, limits, or third-party providers fail to scale with demand.

RISK 03

There is no emergency plan

Under time pressure, unclear responsibilities, alerts, and fallback options cost valuable selling time.

Open tool

After the engagement

Review measured capacity and untested assumptions before the event

You do not receive a blanket availability promise. You gain transparency into limits, countermeasures, and the most important decisions before the key date.

Known capacity limits

Critical user journeys and likely bottlenecks are visible.

Prioritized safeguards

Your team knows which measures will have the greatest impact before the peak.

An operations team ready to act

A concise response plan clarifies signals, responsibilities, and fallback options.

What you receive

A defined scope instead of open-ended consulting days

  • ✓Business-critical user journeys and realistic peak assumptions
  • ✓Application, cluster, database, caches, queues, and external dependencies
  • ✓Scaling rules, cloud limits, and capacity headroom
  • ✓Monitoring and alerting for revenue-impacting errors
  • ✓Deployment freeze, rollback, and emergency communication
  • ✓Joint review of go/no-go risks

How it works

Three steps to a clear decision

01

STEP 01

Understand the context

We clarify the objective, environment, and current pressure to act. You then know whether the assessment is genuinely a fit.

02

STEP 02

Assess what matters

I review documentation, configuration, and data and speak with the people responsible for the environment.

03

STEP 03

Make decisions

In the readout, we prioritize findings, effort, and next steps together according to business impact.

This is a fit if ...

  • ✓A specific peak is ideally at least four weeks away
  • ✓Outages or severe delays would have a direct impact on revenue
  • ✓Technical and business stakeholders can prioritize together

This is not a fit if ...

  • ×You only need a complete load test, including the creation of test data
  • ×You need an immediate guarantee for an unknown number of visitors
  • ×Your store runs entirely on Shopify, Shopware Cloud, or another SaaS platform without infrastructure of your own

Frequently asked questions

What you should know before the call

Do you also run load tests?+

The audit defines useful scenarios and assesses existing results. A reliable load test can then be planned separately if the test environment and available data are suitable.

How early should we start?+

Four to eight weeks before the peak is ideal. This leaves enough time to implement and verify critical measures.

Can you also support us during the peak?+

Yes. Targeted on-call availability and technical support can be arranged separately. The audit itself is not a 24/7 operations contract.

Isn't auto-scaling on our cloud instances enough?+

Auto-scaling mainly helps stateless web servers. When the database, caches, or ERP and PIM integrations become the bottleneck under load, more compute often just means more waiting requests and a higher bill.
