Migrate with an exit plan

For industrial and IoT companies with platforms that have grown over time

Reduce dependency without creating the next lock-in

A migration is not successful just because systems end up running somewhere else. It must improve operations, costs, and freedom of action. We first determine what can stay, what must change, and which path creates the least risk for your business.

Does this sound familiar?

The wrong migration plan only moves problems elsewhere

Provider pressure, expiring contracts, or outdated systems create urgency. Without a clear dependency map, time pressure can quickly turn into a costly big-bang migration.

RISK 01

Dependencies are hidden

The importance of data flows, licenses, devices, and interfaces often only becomes clear during the move.

RISK 02

Costs are not comparable

List prices say little about networking, operations, migration, and the cost of a future exit.

RISK 03

Downtime is difficult to plan

Unclear cutover and fallback paths turn every schedule into a business risk.

After the engagement

A decision that holds up before migration begins

The roadmap starts with your constraints and business goals, not a target provider. Staying put or partially modernizing may also be the right outcome.

Transparent dependencies

Technical, contractual, and operational dependencies become visible.

Comparable options

Staying, modernizing, and migrating are assessed against the same criteria.

A phased transition

Waves, decision points, and fallback paths limit risk.

What you receive

A defined scope instead of open-ended consulting days

  • ✓Applications, data, interfaces, and infrastructure dependencies
  • ✓Business requirements for downtime, data location, and operations
  • ✓Realistic target options, including staying put and partial modernization
  • ✓Running costs, migration effort, and relevant exit costs
  • ✓Migration waves, pilot, cutover, and fallback strategy
  • ✓Risks, prerequisites, and internal responsibilities

How it works

Three steps to a clear decision

01

STEP 01

Understand the context

We clarify the objective, environment, and current pressure to act. You then know whether the assessment is genuinely a fit.

02

STEP 02

Assess what matters

I review documentation, configuration, and data and speak with the people responsible for the environment.

03

STEP 03

Make decisions

In the readout, we prioritize findings, effort, and next steps together according to business impact.

This is a fit if ...

  • ✓Provider lock-in, a legacy platform, or an expiring contract is creating pressure to act
  • ✓Production systems cannot simply be shut down for days
  • ✓You want an independent decision before implementation begins

This is not a fit if ...

  • ×The target provider and big-bang date are fixed and cannot be changed
  • ×You only want a price comparison of public cloud instances

Frequently asked questions

What you should know before the call

Do you automatically recommend multi-cloud?+

No. Multi-cloud often increases costs and operational effort. I assess which dependencies matter to the business and where portability is genuinely worth its cost.

Do we need to use Kubernetes?+

No. Containers can help, but they are not an end in themselves. The roadmap is based on your applications, team, and operating model.

Are you tied to a provider?+

No. I do not sell cloud resources or platform licenses. Recommendations may include AWS, European providers, on-premises infrastructure, or combinations of these.
